This net doesn't just keep insects out. Since covering our plots, sparrows and pigeons can no longer peck the hearts of the greens — bird damage is basically gone. In summer the net breaks up heavy rain before it hits the crops: no more shredded leaves, noticeably less rot, and faster recovery after storms. One net solves three problems: insects, birds and heavy rain. For densely planted leafy greens, 25–32 mesh is enough, balancing bird protection and ventilation.
In our area tomato yellow leaf curl virus is spread by whiteflies, and spraying alone couldn't hold it back two years ago — infection hit 30% of plants. This year we built a 50-mesh net house: whiteflies can't get in, infection stayed under 2% for the whole season, yield was protected and the fruit surface stayed clean. An insect net doesn't just block pests — it blocks the viruses they carry. No matter how you do the math, it pays off.
